On 13 February 2009, the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) held a press briefing to present the Open Budget Index 2008, which was based on a survey conducted during 2007. The comprehensive survey was a collaborative effort done in 85 countries in conjunction with the International Budget Partnership (IBP). The survey was about government budget transparency, public participation and accountability in the public budget processes.  The presentation and background documents(PDF) are attached for download.
